We incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into our work because it goes beyond traditional talk therapy—DBT provides concrete skills that empower individuals to lead more balanced and fulfilling lives. We also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) to treat PTSD/Trauma.

What makes DBT especially effective is its unique balance of acceptance and change, offering a validating and compassionate approach while actively promoting growth and lasting behavioral change.

Why Wise Mind Way?

‘Wise Mind’ is a core DBT concept/skill that represents the synthesis of our ‘Emotion Mind’ - driven by feelings and impulses and our ‘Rational Mind’ - guided by facts and logic. It is a dialectical balanced place where emotional intuition and reason can be in harmony and ground our decisions.

‘The word ‘Way’ suggests a path or a direction - one that’s open to everyone. It reflects the belief that wisdom isn’t reserved for a few, and is instead something anyone can cultivate through intention, skill, and practice. It’s a way of being that is accessible to all.
